Preparations

Unpack the phone and ensure all components are present: cordless handset, 3.7V 950mAh Li-ion battery (SCD530-1), battery compartment cover, telephone base/handset charger/hidden base, power adapter (VT05EEU06045 EU/UK, 6V/0.45A), LAN cable, belt clip (optional). For battery installation: Insert pen tip into hole on battery compartment cover and slide open; insert battery with correct polarity; slide cover back until it clicks. Charge new battery by placing handset in base/charger for initial use. Place away from water, heat sources, and interference. Professional installation required for SIP/PBX setup.

The VTech PMX-S54-0 series is a SIP cordless hotel phone with handset featuring status bar (time/room number), menu bar (Telephone call, Hotel service), soft keys, function keys (VOL +/-, navigation, HOLD), keypad, speaker, microphone, MESSAGE/EMERGENCY key (red LED for voicemail). Base includes IN USE/CHARGE light, MESSAGE WAITING indicator, FIND HANDSET button, power/LAN jacks. Charger has red LED; hidden base has REG/PAGE button and PoE jack. Supports up to multiple handsets per base, speakerphone, and hotel-specific dialing.

Programming

Access admin mode: Dial *75600# + long HOLD. For registration: Base long press FIND (5-6s) for mode; handset admin > Registration > Register.
