Preparations

Unpack the deskset and ensure all components are present: handset with coiled cord, deskset base, deskset stand, Ethernet cable, quick start guide. Optional: VSP-PWR2000 AC power adapter (5V DC 2A), wall mount bracket. Connect the handset coiled cord to the deskset. The deskset supports PoE; if not using PoE, plug the power adapter into the 5V DC port and an unswitched outlet. The VTech ErisTerminal VSP845G is a SIP deskset with a 4-inch tiltable color LCD (384x128 pixels) for main display and a 2.7-inch mono LCD (100x254 pixels) for programmable keys. Features HD voice (G.722), full-duplex speakerphone, 12 self-labeling programmable keys (four pages), 4 soft keys, dedicated keys for mute, volume, navigation, headset, conference, transfer, hold, redial, and message waiting LED. Supports up to three VSP08 expansion modules via USB. Compatible with Asterisk, Broadsoft, and other SIP servers; expandable for shared call appearances (SCA), busy lamp fields (BLF).

Programming

Access phonebook via Contacts key. Program speed dials/programmable keys via Menu > Function Keys or web interface.

  1. Store Contacts: Menu > Contacts > Add > Enter name/number > Save.
  2. Dial Contact: Contacts > Scroll > Select > Dial.
  3. Edit: Contacts > Select > Edit > Modify > Save.
  4. Delete: Contacts > Select > Delete > Yes.
