Preparations

Unpack the conference phone and ensure all components are present: base unit, two wireless microphones, power adapter, Ethernet cable, phone line cord connector cable, quick start guide, and user's manual. Install batteries in mics and charge via charging cradles on base unit for at least 8 hours before first use. Clean contacts monthly if not charging. Place the base away from water, heat sources, and interference. No tools required beyond screwdriver for battery door.

Description

The VTech ErisStation VCS752 is a cordless SIP conference phone with DECT 6.0 technology, featuring a base speakerphone, one fixed microphone on the base, and two removable wireless microphones for up to 360-degree coverage. It supports clear audio with full-duplex speakerphone, echo cancellation, and noise reduction. The two-line backlit LCD displays time, caller ID, and menu options. Unique features include Bluetooth for cell phones/headsets, web GUI for configuration, and DECT expansion up to three VCS850 speakers. Supports English, French, Spanish.

Precautions

Removing Old Phone

Disconnect power and line cord from old unit. Remove batteries from wireless mics if applicable.

Installation

Connect DC power cable from adapter to base unit, then Ethernet cable from adapter to network switch/router. Can use both PoE and AC power; unit switches to AC if PoE fails. Register wireless mics via Main Menu → User Settings → Wireless Microphone → Register. Connect Bluetooth devices via Bluetooth menu. Wiring Diagrams

Check Operation

Power on the base; verify LCD display lights up. Make a test call by pressing and dialing a number. Check ringer volume and dial tone. Use "Locating Wireless Microphones" feature via Status menu to test mics.

Basic Calling

  1. Press to dial directly or pre-dial and press to call.
  2. To answer: Press to answer; use speakerphone or headset.
  3. Adjust volume with +/- keys.
  4. End call: Press to end active call.

Wireless Microphones

Extend base unit microphone during calls. Mute all mics with MUTE ALL button. Register/deregister via User Settings menu. Status indicator shows charge level.

Conference Features

During a call, press Conf to add another call; up to three participants. Transferring: Select call history or directory, dial number, press Transfer. Forwarding: Via Call Forward settings (always, busy, no answer).

Caller ID

Displays caller information for incoming calls. View call history (last 200 calls) via Features menu; includes missed, received, and dialed calls.

Operating Features

Programming

Access menu by pressing MENU/SELECT. Set time/date, ringer, language.

  1. Set Time: Menu > User Settings > Preferences > Date & Time; auto-set via NTP or manual.
  2. Ringer Setup: Menu > Audio, select tone/volume (10 tones).
  3. Run: Exit menu to activate.
