Preparations

Unpack the conference phone and ensure all components are present: base station, conference phone, two wireless mics, two wireless mic batteries, conference phone battery, charging dock, modular jack power adapter for base, round jack power adapter for charging dock, telephone line cord, two screws for conference phone battery door, screwdriver, quick start guides (x4 each), and user manual. Charge the wireless microphones in the cradle for at least 8 hours initially before first use. Place the base away from water, heat sources, and interference. No tools required beyond screwdriver for battery door.

Description

The VTech ErisStation VCS712 is a cordless conference phone with DECT 6.0 technology, featuring a base speakerphone, one fixed microphone on the base, and two removable wireless microphones for up to 360-degree coverage. It supports clear audio with full-duplex speakerphone, echo cancellation, and noise reduction. The two-line backlit LCD displays time, caller ID, and menu options. Supports English, French, Spanish.

Precautions

CAUTION! To prevent electrical shock/equipment damage, disconnect power at outlet before installation. Use only supplied adapter. If in doubt about wiring, consult qualified electrician.

Removing Old Phone

Disconnect power and line cord from old unit. Remove batteries from wireless mics if applicable.

Installation

Plug telephone line cord into base TEL LINE and wall jack. Connect modular power adapter to base and outlet. Install conference phone battery and secure door. Plug round adapter into charging dock and outlet, then place conference phone in dock. Install wireless mic batteries and place in cradles until flush.

Check Operation

Power on the base; verify LCD display lights up. Listen for dial tone by pressing TALK/OFF; status indicator turns green. Test wireless mics by lifting from cradle during call.

Basic Calling

  1. Press TALK/OFF, dial number, or predial and press TALK/OFF.
  2. To answer: Press any key or lift mic.
  3. Adjust volume with +/- keys.
  4. End call: Press END.

Wireless Microphones

Lift mic from cradle, speak within 3 feet; status indicator turns green when active. Range up to 150 ft LOS.

Conference Features

Press FLASH to hold and dial new number for 3-way (if supported). Full-duplex for natural conversation.

Caller ID

View on LCD during ring; press CID to review log. Dial back from log.

Operating Features

Programming

Access menu by pressing MENU/SELECT. Set time/date, ringer, language.

  1. Set Time: Menu > Set Date/Time > Date/Time, enter date/time using dial pad.
  2. Ringer Setup: Menu > Ringers, select tone/volume.
