Preparations

Unpack the phone and ensure all components are present: handset, base unit with corded handset and coiled cord, telephone line cord, AC adapter, battery pack (for cordless handset), battery compartment cover, belt clip. For battery installation: Insert the battery pack into the handset compartment (label "THIS SIDE UP"), then slide the cover into place. Charge new battery by placing handset in base cradle for 12 hours before first use. Maximum battery life: Up to 7 hours talk time, 5 days standby. Place base away from water, heat sources, and interference sources like microwaves. The base supports both corded handset and speakerphone; cordless handset is optional for expansion.

Precautions

Basic Calling

  1. Press PHONE, enter number.
  2. To answer: Press any dial pad key (except /VOL-/CID, /VOL+/, OFF).
  3. Adjust volume with VOL +/-.
  4. End call: Press OFF or place in base.

Redial: Press REDIAL/PAUSE, press PHONE to dial.

Operating Features

Programming

Access phonebook with /VOL+/ (directory).

  1. Store Numbers: Press PROG > STORE > Enter phone number (up to 30 digits) > SELECT > Enter name (up to 15 characters) > SELECT > Distinct ring Y/N > SELECT.
  2. Dial Stored Number: Press /VOL+/ > Scroll to entry > Press PHONE.
  3. Edit: /VOL+/ > Scroll to entry > SELECT > EDIT > Modify number/name > SELECT.
  4. Delete: /VOL+/ > Scroll to entry > SELECT > DEL > YES.

Caller ID: /VOL-/CID > Scroll > PHONE to dial > SELECT > PROG to save to phonebook.

Changes activate immediately.
