Preparations

Precautions

Installation

Plug telephone line cord into base and wall jack (use DSL filter if needed). Plug power adapter into base and unswitched outlet. Install battery in handset (align terminals, snap cover). Check Operation

After charging, lift handset and listen for dial tone (wait 1-2 seconds). Test by dialing a number and adjusting volume. Verify CHARGE light on base.

Basic Calling

1. Press PHONE, enter number.
2. To answer: Press any dial pad key (except /VOL-/CID, /VOL+/, OFF).
3. Adjust volume with VOL +/-.
4. End call: Press OFF or place in base.

Redial: Press REDIAL/PAUSE, press PHONE to dial.

Operating Features

• Home Screen: LCD shows battery icon, signal strength.
• Key Features: Caller ID display, phonebook dialing, redial (10 last numbers), adjustable volume, ringer (5 melodies/OFF), flash for call waiting, any key answer, chain dialing, temporary ringer silence, paging from base, voicemail indicator (service provider).
• Paging: Press FIND HANDSET on base (handset beeps 60 seconds).

Programming

Access phonebook with /VOL+/ (directory).

1. Store Numbers: Press PROG > STORE > Enter phone number (up to 30 digits) > SELECT > Enter name (up to 15 characters) > SELECT > Distinct ring Y/N > SELECT.
2. Dial Stored Number: Press /VOL+/ > Scroll to entry > Press PHONE.
3. Edit: /VOL+/ > Scroll to entry > SELECT > EDIT > Modify number/name > SELECT.
4. Delete: /VOL+/ > Scroll to entry > SELECT > DEL > YES.

Caller ID: /VOL-/CID > Scroll > PHONE to dial > SELECT > PROG to save to phonebook.

Changes activate immediately.

Configuration

Adjust via PROG: Date/Time, Ringer, Dial Mode, Home Area Code, Language.

Set Time/Date: PROG > DATE/TIME > Enter MM/DD/YY, HH:MM > SELECT.

Clear Voicemail Indicators: PROG > CLR VOICEMAIL > SELECT.

Troubleshooting

Handset Registration: Base: Press MENU > Register HS > Place handset in cradle.
