Preparations

Unpack the phone and ensure all components are present: 3 handsets, telephone line cord, power adapter for telephone base, 2 charger adapters, 3 battery packs, 3 battery compartment covers, wall bracket for telephone base. Save sales receipt and packaging for warranty. For battery installation: Insert the battery pack into each handset compartment, then slide the cover into place. Installation

Plug telephone line cord into base and wall jack (use DSL filter if needed). Plug power adapter into base and unswitched outlet. Plug charger adapters into unswitched outlets. Install batteries in handsets (align terminals, snap covers). Place one handset in base and the other two in chargers to charge for 16 hours. For wall mount, attach bracket to base and wall plate, route cords through slots.

Connection Diagrams

Terminal Designations: Telephone line jack for line cord on base; Power jack for adapter on base and chargers.

Standard Setup: Wall jack to DSL filter (if needed) to base line jack; Power outlet to adapter to base power jack; Separate outlets to charger adapters.

Wall Mount: Insert wall bracket tabs into base grooves, mount on wall studs.

Check Operation

After charging, lift a handset and listen for dial tone (wait 1-2 seconds). Test by dialing a number and adjusting volume. Verify CHARGE light on base and chargers.

Basic Calling

1. Press PHONE, enter number.
2. To answer: Press any dial pad key (except /VOL-/CID, /VOL+/, OFF).
3. Adjust volume with VOL +/-.
4. End call: Press OFF or place in base/charger.

Redial: Press REDIAL/PAUSE, press PHONE to dial. Intercom: Press INT on one handset to call another.

Operating Features

• Home Screen: LCD shows battery status, signal strength, caller ID info.
• Key Features: Caller ID memory (50 entries), directory dialing, speed dial, chain dialing, temporary ringer silence, paging from base, intercom between handsets.
• Paging: Press FIND HANDSET on base (handsets beep 60 seconds).

Programming

Access directory with PROG.

1. Store Numbers: Press PROG > STORE > Enter number (up to 24 digits) > SELECT > Enter name (up to 14 chars) > SELECT.
2. Dial Stored Number: Scroll to entry > Press PHONE.
3. Edit: Scroll to entry > SELECT > EDIT > Modify > SELECT.
4. Delete: Scroll to entry > SELECT > DELETE > SELECT.

Speed Dial: Press and hold 1-9 > Enter number > SELECT > Name > SELECT.

Changes activate immediately.

Configuration

Adjust via PROG: Date/Time, Ringer Volume, Dial Mode, Home Area Code, Language.

Set Time/Date: PROG > DATE/TIME > Enter MM/DD/YY, HH:MM > SELECT.

Troubleshooting

Handset Registration: Base: Press MENU > Register HS > Place handset in cradle.
