Preparations

Unpack the phone and ensure all components are present: 2 handsets, telephone line cord, power adapter for telephone base, charger adapter, 2 battery packs, 2 battery compartment covers, wall bracket for telephone base. Save sales receipt and packaging for warranty. For battery installation: Insert the battery pack into each handset compartment, then slide the cover into place. Charge new batteries by placing one handset in base cradle and the other in charger for at least 16 hours before first use. Maximum battery life: Up to 5 hours talk time, 6 days standby. Place base and charger away from water, heat sources, and interference.

Precautions

Installation

Plug telephone line cord into base and wall jack (use DSL filter if needed). Plug power adapter into base and unswitched outlet. Plug charger adapter into unswitched outlet. For wall mount, attach bracket to base and wall plate, route cords through slots.

Check Operation

After charging, lift a handset and listen for dial tone (wait 1-2 seconds). Test by dialing a number and adjusting volume. Verify CHARGE light on base and charger.

Basic Calling

  1. Press PHONE, enter number.
  2. To answer: Press any dial pad key (except /VOL-/CID, /VOL+/, OFF).
  3. Adjust volume with VOL +/-.
  4. End call: Press OFF or place in base/charger.

Redial: Press REDIAL/PAUSE, press PHONE to dial. Intercom: Press INT on one handset to call the other.

Operating Features

Programming

Access directory with PROG.

  1. Store Numbers: Press PROG > STORE > Enter number (up to 24 digits) > SELECT > Enter name (up to 14 chars) > SELECT.
  2. Dial Stored Number: Scroll to entry > Press PHONE.
  3. Edit: Scroll to entry > SELECT > EDIT > Modify > SELECT.
  4. Delete: Scroll to entry > SELECT > DELETE > SELECT.

Speed Dial: Press and hold 1-9 > Enter number > SELECT > Name > SELECT.

Changes activate immediately.

Adjust via PROG: Date/Time, Ringer Volume, Dial Mode, Home Area Code, Language.
