Install batteries in handset (noting polarity) and charge until full. Place base within 2m of telephone jack and 1m from other devices to avoid interference.

Shut off power if applicable. Remove old phone cover. Label wires before disconnecting. Disconnect wires one at a time; do not let fall into wall. Remove old base from wall.
Connect telephone cord to base and wall jack. Plug base adapter into power outlet and base (ensure power switch on). Plug charger adapter into power outlet and charger. Install batteries in handset. Place handset on charger. Register additional handsets: Hold base registration key 5s, press handset OK within 90s. Pair optional devices: Hold base registration key 5s, press device button, check signal.
