For battery replacement: Pry open the screw cover with a narrow object, remove the screw, insert a flat-head screwdriver in the slot to open the battery compartment cover, unplug the old battery connector, remove the old battery, plug in the new VTECH battery, replace the cover and screw. Charge new battery by placing handset on charging stand for 16 hours before first use. Maximum battery life: >5 hours talk time, 7 days standby.
