Handset Battery Installation: Gently lift the handset cover. Do not detach the speaker wires. Plug the battery connector securely into the socket inside the handset battery compartment. Place the battery with the label THIS SIDE UP facing up and the wires inside the battery compartment. Align all tabs on the handset cover against the corresponding grooves on the handset, then firmly push downward until all tabs lock. Secure with screw.

For C4400 Handset: Install battery as in Preparations. Place on C4300 or main base for charging/registration. Automatic registration on first placement (MESSAGE WAITING LED flashes once, 3 rising beeps). Deregistration: When idle, press *331734# then HOLD. To register to another base, place on new base for automatic process. Ensure installation height under 2 meters.
