Preparations

The C3000 is an Analog cordless charging base designed for use with VTech Analog Classic Series cordless handsets. It includes charge LED, charging poles, and a detachable base stand for desktop use. Supports battery charging and automatic handset registration/deregistration. Unique hospitality features: Integration with speed dial keys (e.g., CONCIERGE, FRONT DESK) for quick service access, message waiting LED (steady/periodic high/low voltage pulse, reverse polarity, FSK, Siemens/Panasonic). Nominal effective range varies by environment; crystal-controlled PLL synthesizer with 10 channels, transmit frequency 1881.792-1897.344 MHz (UK/EU), max EIRP FP: 19.8dBm, PP: 17.8dBm. Designed for guest room cordless mobility.

Installation

Align grooves of the base stand with the C3000 charging base and slide up to secure. Plug the power adapter into the charging base and a wall outlet not controlled by a switch. Place the compatible cordless handset on the charging poles; the charge LED illuminates during charging (full charge in 11 hours). For cordless integration, register the handset to a compatible telephone base by placing it in the cradle—automatic registration occurs with 3 beeps confirmation. Deregistration: On idle handset, press *331734# then HOLD for confirmation tone. To register to another base, place on new base for automatic process. Desktop: Place on flat surface. Wall mount: Use compatible bracket if available. Ensure installation height under 2 meters.

Check Operation

Place handset on C3000; charge LED should turn on. For full system check with compatible base: Ensure power and telephone line cords are secure. Press TALK/FLASH on handset for dial tone, then OFF/Cancel to hang up. Verify registration by placing handset on base (3 beeps). Test incoming call: Handset rings, message waiting LED flashes on base/handset. For cordless range, move handset within effective DECT 6.0 range and confirm no interference. Adjust RF transmission power if out of range. If no dial tone, unplug/replug power for 15 seconds to synchronize (up to 1 minute).
