Install the battery pack by removing the compartment cover, inserting the battery with "THIS SIDE UP" facing up, plugging the connector, and replacing the cover until it clicks. Place the handset in the base and charge for 12 hours before first use. Place base away from water, heat sources, and interference. Use wall mounting bracket if desired.

Shut off power if applicable. Remove old phone cover. Label wires before disconnecting. Disconnect wires one at a time; do not let fall into wall. Remove old base from wall.
Plug telephone line cord into base and wall jack (use DSL filter if needed). Plug power adapter into base and unswitched outlet.
