Preparations

Description

The VTech BS2425 is a 2.4GHz DSS cordless telephone featuring handset with display, numeric keys, VOL +/-, TALK, OFF, REDIAL/PAUSE, MUTE, FLASH, INT/TRANSFER. Base includes answering system keys (PLAY/STOP, SKIP, REPEAT, RECORD, DELETE, VOLUME +/-, ANS ON/OFF, CHAIN), speakerphone, headset jack, and line jack. Features include 50 phonebook entries, 20 min answering system, caller ID with 50 entry log, last 5 number redial, page/find handset, low battery indicator, and out of range warning. Designed for home use.

Installation

Install battery in handset: Lift cover, plug connector, replace cover. Connect telephone line cord to base and wall jack. Plug power adapter to base and outlet. Place handset in base to charge. Desktop: Place on flat surface. Wall mount: Attach bracket to base, align with wall plate (3/4-inch spacing), route cords. Handset auto-registers to base.

Check Operation

Press TALK on handset for dial tone. Dial test number, adjust volume with +/- keys. Verify answering system records message. Check ringer by calling from another line. Test speakerphone and range. If no dial tone, check line cords and power.

Operating Features

Programming

Phonebook and settings programmed via handset menu. Admin access: Press MENU; follow prompts.

  1. Store Phonebook Entry: MENU > Phonebook > Store > Enter number > Name > SAVE.
  2. Dial from Phonebook: MENU > Phonebook > Review > Dial.
  3. Edit: Review > Edit.
  4. Delete: Review > Delete.
  5. Record OGM: On base, press RECORD, speak, press RECORD to stop.

Changes effective immediately.
