Install battery as described in Preparations. Place handset in compatible telephone base or charger. If screen shows NOT REGISTERED, register: Place in base/charger; press/hold FIND HANDSET on base ~4 seconds until IN USE light flashes; handset shows PLEASE WAIT... then HANDSET X REGISTERED. For de-registration/re-registration: Press/hold FIND HANDSET on base ~10 seconds to de-register all, then re-register. Charge for 16 hours initially. Desktop/wall mount base as per system manual.
Place handset in base/charger; verify CHARGE light on and battery indicator shows HANDSET X when charged. Press PHONE for dial tone. Dial test number and press PHONE; adjust volume. Verify ringer by calling the system. Test intercom: Press INT, select other handset. If CONNECTING... appears, move closer to base. Check display for voicemail indicators.
Directory programming shared across handsets. Store entry: MENU > DIRECTORY > STORE > Enter number (dial keys, REDIAL to copy) > MENU > Enter name (dial pad characters) > MENU. Edit/Delete: MENU > DIRECTORY > REVIEW > Select > Edit/Delete options. Call log: MENU > CALL LOG > REVIEW > Dial/Save/Delete. Redial: Press REDIAL/PAUSE to browse and dial/delete. One handset at a time; NOT AVAILABLE if busy.

Adjust via MENU: Ringer volume/tone, key tone, LCD language, date/time, voicemail clear, home area code. Defaults: Ringer medium, English.
