Preparations

Unpack the telephone and ensure all components are present: telephone base, cordless handset, rechargeable battery pack, power adapter, two telephone line cords, wall mount bracket. Install the battery in the handset. Place away from water, heat sources, and interference. Professional installation recommended for PBX setup. Charge handset for 16 hours before initial use.

Base includes power jack, LINE 1/LINE 2 jacks, DATA port, wall mount clip, speed dial keys (up to 10), recessed PAUSE/PROGRAM, REDIAL, CONF, FLASH/FIND HANDSET, HOLD, MUTE, VOLUME +/- /SPEAKER, IN USE/HOLD/CHARGE LEDs. Features include speed dial memory (up to 10 locations, 32 digits), ringer adjustment, flash for call waiting, conference calls, and voicemail detection. Designed for guest room use.

Installation

Install battery in handset: Lift cover, plug connector, replace cover. Connect telephone line cords to LINE 1/LINE 2 jacks on base and wall jacks. Plug power adapter to base power jack and electrical outlet. Place handset in base to charge. Desktop: Place on flat surface. Wall mount: Turn mounting bracket upside down, position eyelets against wall plate studs (3/4-inch spacing), slide down to lock, route cords. Handset auto-registers to base. Charge for 16 hours initially.

Check Operation

Lift handset or press SPEAKER for dial tone on each line. Dial test number, adjust volume with +/- keys. Verify message LEDs flash on voicemail simulation. Check ringer by calling each line from another phone. Ensure speakerphone, conference, and cordless range work. If no dial tone, check line cords and power.

Operating Features

Programming

Speed dials and settings programmed via recessed PROGRAM key. Admin access: Press PROGRAM; follow prompts.

  1. Store Speed Dial: PROGRAM > Speed dial key > Enter number (up to 32 digits, PAUSE/FLASH) > Speed dial key > PROGRAM.
  2. Dial Speed Dial: Press programmed key (off-hook).
  3. Edit: Reprogram as above.
  4. Delete: PROGRAM > Speed dial key > PROGRAM (no number).
  5. Voicemail Detection: PROGRAM > 7 > 1 for FSK, 2 for pulse > PROGRAM.
  6. Flash Duration: PROGRAM > 6 > 1-3 (100/300/600ms) > PROGRAM.

Changes effective immediately.

Configuration

Adjust via PROGRAM key: Volumes, ringer, flash duration, hold timeout. Defaults: Volume 4, 300ms flash.
