Shut off power if applicable. Remove old phone cover. Label wires before disconnecting. Disconnect wires one at a time; do not let fall into wall. Remove old base from wall.
Plug AC power adaptor into base power jack and unswitched outlet. Plug telephone cord into base telephone line jack and wall jack (use DSL filter if needed). Install battery in handset. Place handset in base to charge for 16 hours. For wall mount, attach bracket and slide base into place. Set ringer and dial mode via programming.
