Preparations

Choose location for base near electrical outlet and telephone jack (modular). Plug AC power adaptor into outlet and DC connector to base jack. Install battery pack in handset. Place handset in base to charge for at least 12 hours first time. Connect modular telephone cord between live phone jack and base jack. Ensure base antenna fully upright. Check for dial tone: Pick up handset and press PHONE; if heard, ready for use.

Check Operation

After charging, pick up handset and press PHONE to listen for dial tone (wait 1-2 seconds). Test by dialing a number and adjusting volume. Verify ringer by calling from another phone. Press PAGE on base to locate handset (beeps 60 seconds). If "OUT OF RANGE" displays, move closer to base.

Programming

Access memory: PROG/CHAN then MEM. For directory: PROG/CHAN then DIR.

  1. Store Numbers: PROG/CHAN > MEM > Enter location (0-9) > MEM > Enter number (up to 16 digits, # for pause) > MEM > Enter name (up to 14 chars) > MEM. Optional: Press 7 for distinctive ring (Y/N) > SELECT.
  2. Dial Stored Number: PHONE > MEM > Enter location (0-9) > PHONE.
  3. Edit: PROG/CHAN > MEM > Enter location > SELECT > Edit number/name > MEM > Optional 7 for ring > SELECT.
  4. Delete: PROG/CHAN > MEM > Enter location > DELETE twice.

Directory (40 entries): PROG/CHAN > DIR > ADD > Enter name/number > SAVE. Review/dial/edit/delete similarly. Caller ID: /UP > Scroll > PHONE to dial > SAVE TO MEMORY/DIR.

Changes activate immediately.
