Preparations

Place the VTech 17450 within 2 metres of the mains power socket and telephone socket, at least 1 metre away from other electrical appliances to avoid interference. The phone works by sending radio signals between the base and handset. Use only the provided adaptors, ensuring electrical outlets are not controlled by wall switches. The adaptors are intended for vertical or floor mount positions. Connect the telephone base to the mains power and telephone wall jack. For multi-handset packs, connect the handset charger. Install the handset battery by sliding open the compartment, inserting 3 AAA NiMH batteries according to polarity, and closing the cover. Charge the batteries by placing the handset in the base; the battery icon animates while charging and becomes solid when full. For optimum performance, charge for at least 16 hours initially.

WARNING! Failure to read and follow all instructions carefully before installing or operating this control could cause personal injury and/or property damage. Save these instructions.
