Preparations

Unpack the phone and ensure all components are present: telephone base, cordless handset(s), rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack(s) (BT183342/BT283342, 2.4V 400mAh), battery compartment cover(s), base power adapter (6V DC), charger(s) and adapter(s) for additional handsets, telephone line cord, user's manual. Install batteries in handsets (this side up, plug connector, snap cover) and charge for 16 hours before first use. Place base away from water, heat sources, and interference. Use wall mount bracket if desired.

Description

The VTech 15750 is a DECT 6.0 cordless phone with Bluetooth for up to 2 mobiles and 1 headset, digital answering system (up to 99 messages, ~15 min recording time). Features include backlit LCD display, speakerphone, adjustable ringer, 100-name home phonebook (up to 1500 per mobile phonebook), caller ID log, 5-number redial, call block, quiet mode, voicemail waiting indicator, call screening, remote access, ECO mode, power-fail backup, conference calls, and one-touch broadcast. Supports English. Handset and base layouts include navigation keys, volume controls, dedicated buttons for mute, redial, find handset, Bluetooth (HOME/MOBILE 1/2), INT.

Precautions

CAUTION! To prevent electrical shock/equipment damage, unplug before installation. Use only supplied adapters. If in doubt about wiring, consult qualified electrician.

WARNING! Do not use on circuits exceeding 120 VAC; improper use can cause shock/fire. All wiring must conform to local/national electrical codes. Avoid use during storms, near gas leaks, or with pacemakers without consulting doctor. Dispose of batteries per local regulations. Install DSL filter if using high-speed internet. Base must remain plugged into mains; use only NiMH batteries.

Removing Old Phone

Shut off power if applicable. Remove old phone cover. Label wires before disconnecting. Disconnect wires one at a time; do not let fall into wall. Remove old base from wall.

Installation

Plug telephone line cord into base and wall jack (use DSL filter if needed). Plug power adapter into base and unswitched outlet. Install batteries in handsets (this side up). Place handsets in base/chargers to charge for 16 hours. For wall mount, attach bracket, slide onto plate, route cords. Register additional handsets via MENU > Registration. Pair Bluetooth: MENU > Bluetooth > Add mobile/headset (PIN 0000).

Wiring Diagrams

Terminal Designations: RJ11 jack for line cord on base; DC jack for power adapter.

Standard Setup: Wall jack to DSL filter (if needed) to base RJ11; Power outlet to adapter to base DC jack.

Wall Mount: Route cords through bracket slots.

CAUTION! All wiring must conform to local/national electrical codes. Do not use switched outlets.

Check Operation

After charging, lift handset and listen for dial tone. Test by dialing a number and adjusting volume. Verify CHARGE light on base. Test Bluetooth pairing and mobile calls. Check power-fail backup by unplugging power with charged handset in base.

Basic Calling

  1. Press HOME/RECALL/SPEAKER, enter number (or predial then press).
  2. To answer: Press any dialing key, HOME/RECALL/SPEAKER, or MUTE.
  3. Adjust volume with VOLUME +/-.
  4. End call: Press OFF/CLEAR or place in base/charger.

Answering Machine

  1. Press ANS ON/OFF on base to turn on.
  2. Record announcement: Menu > Answering sys > Outgoing msg > Record OGM.
  3. Test by calling from another phone; messages record automatically.

Intercom

  1. Menu > Intercom > Select handset > Press SELECT.
  2. Answer: Press HOME/RECALL/SPEAKER or MOBILE 1/2.
  3. Transfer call: Press INT during call, select handset.

Caller ID

View via Menu > Call log; new calls with NEW icon. Dial back with HOME/RECALL or MOBILE 1/2. Save to phonebook via OPTION > Save to phonebook.

Operating Features

Programming

Access menu with MENU/SELECT. Set date/time, program phonebook, configure ringer.

  1. Set Time: Menu > Set date/time > Enter MM/DD/YY, HH:MM > NEXT > SELECT.
  2. Phonebook Entries: Menu > Phonebook > Add contact > Enter number/name > SAVE. Download from mobile: Menu > Bluetooth > Download phonebook.
  3. Run: Exit menu; changes activate immediately.

Configuration

Enter menu via MENU/SELECT. Adjust LCD language, key tone, ringer volume/tone, voicemail number, call block, quiet mode.
