WARNING! Do not use on circuits exceeding 120 VAC; improper use can cause shock/fire. All wiring must conform to local/national electrical codes. Base must remain plugged into mains power at all times. Use only supplied NiMH rechargeable batteries; other types may cause damage or fire.
Shut off power if applicable. Remove old phone cover. Label wires before disconnecting. Disconnect wires one at a time; do not let fall into wall. Remove old base from wall.
Plug telephone line cord into base and wall jack (use DSL filter if needed). Plug power adapter into base and unswitched outlet. Install battery in handset (slide open compartment, fit with label "THIS SIDE UP", plug connector, replace cover). Place handset in base/charger to charge for 16 hours. For wall mount, attach wall mount bracket to base, slide onto plate, route cords through slots. For additional handsets, plug charger into wall socket, place handset in charger. After charging, lift handset and listen for dial tone (press TALK). Test by dialing a number and adjusting volume. Verify CHARGE light on base. Test paging: Press PAGE on base; handsets ring, press OFF to stop. Test answering machine: Turn on with ANS ON/OFF; call from another phone to check recording. Test power fail back-up: Place charged handset on base and press TALK to make/answer calls.
View via CID; new calls with NEW icon. Dial back with TALK/FLASH. Save to phonebook via MENU > Add contact.
Access menu with MENU/OK. Set date/time, program phonebook, configure ringer.
Enter menu via MENU/OK. Adjust key tone, ringer volume/tone, alarm, answering system.
