Preparations

Unpack the phone and ensure all components are present: VTech 15150 handset, VTech 15150 answering machine unit, power adaptor, telephone line cord and adaptor, battery compartment cover, NiMH rechargeable battery pack, and user guide. For multi-handset packs, additional handsets, chargers, power adaptors, and batteries are provided. For battery installation: Slide open compartment cover, insert NiMH battery matching orientation, plug connector, close cover. Charge new battery by placing handset in base for 16 hours before first use. Maximum battery life: Use 6-8 hours daily; batteries may warm during charging. Place base within 3 meters of a mains power socket and telephone socket, at least 1 meter from other electrical appliances. For broadband ADSL lines, connect via an ADSL filter.

Handset buttons: /CALLS (volume up/scroll up), END/CALLS (volume down/scroll down), MENU/SELECT, MUTE/DELETE, dialing keys, INT (intercom). Base buttons: X/DELETE, ANS ON/OFF, PLAY/STOP, PAGE, VOL +/-, SKIP, REPEAT. Message window displays number of messages and status.

Precautions

Access phonebook: MENU > PHONEBOOK > ADD > Enter name/number > SAVE. For redial: Press REDIAL > scroll > MENU > DELETE.

  1. Store Numbers: MENU > PHONEBOOK > ADD > Name (keystroke table: 2=ABC) > Number > SAVE.
  2. Dial Stored Number: MENU > PHONEBOOK > Scroll > .
  3. Edit: MENU > PHONEBOOK > Scroll > EDIT > Modify > SAVE.
  4. Delete: MENU > PHONEBOOK > Scroll > DELETE > YES.

Caller ID: Press /CALLS > Scroll > / to dial > MENU > SAVE TO PHONEBOOK.

Changes activate immediately.
